- Create a new document, 4 pixels wide,
2 pixels high.
- Create the top line black and leave
the bottom line white. It should look like this (
).
- Go
to Edit, Define Pattern and then call it something like
Horizontal Scan Lines.
- Open the source image you
would like to modify.
- Select your Fill Tool and
then change the fill type to Pattern at the top, next to
the Paint Bucket icon.
- Now pull down the arrow
for the Pattern selection and click on your Horizontal
Scan Line pattern.
- Change the Mode type to Screen
and change the Opacity to 20%.
- Place your cursor
(Paint Bucket Icon) over your image and click the mouse
button to apply the fill.
